This is a guide showing the latest version of the Razer Kitsune firmware update and how to install it successfully.

  • Added SOCD Cleaning customization options.
  • To change SOCD Cleaning mode, temporarily put Kitsune into PC Mode and Lock Mode, then press one of the following button combinations:
    • Neutral Mode (Default): Create + PS + Up
    • Absolute Up Priority: Create + PS + Down
    • Last Input Priority: Create + PS + Right
    • First Input Priority: Create + PS + X
    • No SOCD Cleaning (PC Only): Press Create + PS + Left
  • Improved the appearance and animation quality of Chroma RGB lighting.
  • L3 and R3 will no longer be locked when the controller is in Lock Mode.
  • The Touchpad will no longer be locked when the controller is in Lock Mode when connected to PlayStation.
  • To restore SOCD and Chroma settings to default, put Kitsune into PC Mode and Lock Mode, then press Create + PS + Option.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

  1. If you are using a laptop, please make sure it is plugged into a wall outlet and not just running on battery before proceeding.

  2. Save all files and close all programs.

  3. Download the latest firmware updater.

  4. Run the updater. If you have already closed all running applications, click "NEXT" to proceed.

  5. Set the controller to PC mode.

  6. Connect the controller to your PC using the supplied USB cable.

  7. Click "UPDATE".

  8. Wait for the update to complete.

  9. Once the firmware has been successfully applied, click "CLOSE" to exit the installer.
